I look at my watch and it was almost 5:30 in the morning... I didn't even notice that all that time had passed...

By the time we got down from the carnival stand to make it out of the parcours, it was broad daylight and Route Nationale No 1 in Gonaives was already jammed packed with vehicles trying to leave the city...
